Sentimental… romantic… maybe? But applicable I think to a sixteen-year-old lad who was trying to find his way in life as he walked into a theatre arts lab in South London one night. So began my career as an actor at The Oval House Theatre. Soon I was performing on stage in the West End of London in the early 1970's, but I'm afraid it wasn't enough to leave a mark. I got lucky when I came to America. I was 27 years old and landed my first audition — a series called 'Remington Steele'. Life was good. I felt I could be anything I wanted to be. And what I wanted above all was to be in the movies. For me, acting is doing. My acting teacher Yat Malgram once said, "nothing comes from nothing." I've had the opportunity and the good fortune to be part of this exciting tradition. Acting allows me to explore new worlds, to develop my craft, to create characters by delving into their lives, and ultimately to become someone else entirely.

"'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga' is a terribly funny send-up and the most enjoyable music industry parody since Christopher Guest’s folk satire 'A Mighty Wind.' - Johnny Oleksinski, New York Post
“Euphoria! Tears! Fernando! Dagnabit. This film will leave you high and wet. And willing (almost) to contemplate the prospect of Mamma Mia 3.” - London Go
“Still, of the many interchangeable, name-lead thrillers and action pictures concurrently premiering these days in theatres and on VOD, this one’s definitely a cut above.” - Los Angeles Times
"Campbell keeps the action cooking and the suspense on a high burner in this compulsively watchable conspiracy thriller forever…Based on Stephen Leather’s novel The Chinaman, the film – with a tight script by David Marconi – doesn’t waste time with niceties. Quan tries to bribe a London police investigator (Ray Fearon); failing that, he pleads his case to former IRA deputy minister Liam Hennessy (Pierce Brosnan, bringing real star power to the role), who seems unwilling or unable to help him." - Rolling Stone
"It's still a wry tale that deserves to be seen. Gerald keeps telling Thomas that life should be a mess, but in 'The Only Living Boy in New York' it’s a pleasingly witty and well-observed one.” - Variety
"'The Son' — co-created by Philipp Meyer, who wrote the Pulitzer Prize–nominated novel that inspired this series, Brian McGreevy, and Lee Shipman, both of whom worked on the Netflix adaptation of McGreevy’s novel Hemlock Grove — is a handsomely shot, well-acted, and respectable piece of work.” - Vulture
King Louis XIV's quest for immortality leads him to capture and steal a mermaid's life force, a move that is further complicated by his illegitimate daughter's discovery of the creature.
“Appropriately enough for a movie titled 'I.T.,' there is a preponderance of hard drives, software, satellite tracking networks, cutting-edge surveillance systems, and banks of large-format monitors on display throughout director John Moore’s slickly produced techno-thriller. But it falls largely on the shoulders of lead player Pierce Brosnan to provide a welcome human touch to the proceedings, with his persuasive portrayal of an analog man in a digital world.” - Variety
“'Urge' is a good Thriller with quite a few edge of the seat moments…With cameos from the likes of Jeff Fahey the acting is top-notch. In addition, the cinematography by Lyle Vincent and the special effects, are solid.” - Cryptic Rock
“Directed breathlessly by John Erick Dowdle (“As Above/So Below”), the movie is filled with jittery shots from hand-held cameras---Mr. Brosnan-- continues to shed the smooth and silky customs of his James Bond days.” - The Hollywood Reporter
“The film benefits from the presence of its charismatic leads. Jovovich, who's proved her action movie bona fides in the 'Resident Evil' franchise, is an appealingly gutsy heroine, and Brosnan, playing a dark version of James Bond, effortlessly displays cool menace.” - The Hollywood Reporter
“'Some Kind of Beautiful' is a fun, breezy, and upbeat offering that allows Pierce Brosnan the opportunity to put a shine on that charming accent of his and remind the world that he still holds some one-of-a-kind talent.” - The Hollywood Outsider
“Onetime 007 Pierce Brosnan embraces a darker take on spycraft in Roger Donaldson's 'The November Man,' playing a former CIA agent whose autumnal nickname acknowledges his tendency to leave few alive when he passes through a town. A familiar string of dark secrets, shifting allegiances and (wo)man- who-knew-too-much pursuit propels the storyline (adapted from one in a series of Bill Granger novels), giving Brosnan the opportunity to prove his cool remains intact, sans tux and gadgets.” - The Hollywood Reporter
“As British comedy sometimes will, 'A Long Way Down' has an occasional attack of the cutes, but the actors' commitment keeps the movie on the plus side. Best of all, Brosnan takes a fellow who could have been a joke and gives him complexity - a light side, a dark side, a public face and inner rage, a weird mix of cynicism and generous impulse.” - SF Gate
“A good-natured if strenuously wacky caper comedy about a divorced British couple who plot a diamond heist to save their pensions.” - The New York Times
“But in an era in which mainstream movies not only lack rhythm but seem to have forgotten how to dance, this one's briskness is inspiring. Its judgment is nearly unerring, and it has a sense of joy that's rare. Like most genre films, 'The World's End' is working things through in an extremely broad way and having a grand time doing it, and its self-deprecating wit inoculates it against self-importance. The movie wears its themes on its sleeve and pins its symbols to its puffed-out rooster's chest, swaggers about with a proud grin jabbing thumbs at itself, then walks into an open manhole. It's magnificent.” - RogerEbert.com
“Pierce Brosnan isn't the only reason to see 'Love is All You Need.' He's merely the best reason to seek out Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier's entertaining if familiar romantic comedy.” - Dever Post – Lisa Kennedy
"The title may be Stephen King’s 'Bag of Bones,' but the reason to watch, if any, is Pierce Brosnan. Seeing Brosnan playing a blocked writer in this A&E miniseries, based on King’s 1998 novel, 'Bag of Bones,' you have hopes that his charm, intelligence and quiet sexiness will have rubbed off on the production." - Mike Hale, The New York Times
